Frequently Asked Questions
How do I schedule or cancel an appointment with the Business Advising Center?
You can book a one-on-one advising virtual or in-person appointment with a Business Advisor through your portal or the Navigate Student App (PDF). You cannot book an appointment more than one week in advance. If there are no available appointments, or the Business Advising Center location is not visible, that means we are booked, so check back the following morning as additional appointments will be added. Once you have scheduled a virtual appointment, you will be e-mailed a link to the virtual meeting.

How do I change my major?
If your current major is outside of the College of Business and Economics, and you want to change into a major in the College of Business and Economics, you are required to complete the following steps:
Schedule an appointment with an advisor through the Business Advising Center or if you are unable to find an appointment, you can request to have the change of major overview conducted via email. Please email businessadvising@fullerton.edu (Opens in a new window) with the following:
- First and Last Name
- CWID
- Major/Concentration of interest
- Full time or Part time enrollment for next semester's schedule

I received a notice that my Associate Degree for Transfer (SB-1440) status is cancelled, or I did not complete it. What does it mean?
If you are admitted with an Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T or AS-T) in business, a waiver will be placed on the Lower Division Business Core Courses section of your Titan Degree Audit (TDA), and you will be eligible to declare an approved concentration. If you have questions on approved versus non-approved concentrations for the Associate Degree for Transfer, please e-mail businessadvising@fullerton.edu.
• Refer to the reasons listed below why your status may have changed. Please contact the Office of Admissions at TransferDegree@fullerton.edu if you have further questions regarding your Associate for Transfer Degree.
Cancelled: Please note if you apply to a major that is different from your ADT, choose a non-approved concentration, add a second concentration, a second major, minor, or certificate, your ADT status will be cancelled and you will be subject to completing any outstanding courses.
- For transfer students admitted prior to fall 2022 - cancelled status means that the waiver of your lower-division business core courses is voided and you must complete any outstanding lower-division business core courses that you have not yet completed (refer to your Titan Degree Audit (TDA) for any remaining requirement). In addition, the university can no longer guarantee that you will only have 60 units remaining to earn your bachelor’s degree.
- For transfer students admitted fall 2022 and after - cancelled status means that the university can no longer guarantee that you will only have 60 units remaining to earn your bachelor’s degree but the waiver of your lower-division core is not voided unless you choose a non-approved concentration.
- Did Not Complete: The Office of Admissions did not receive verification from your community college that your Associate for Transfer Degree was completed or in progress by the deadline, or you notified CSUF that you are not earning the Associate for Transfer Degree.
The TDA is the official degree tracking tool. Refer to the Do-It-Yourself Guide to understand how to interpret your TDA.
How do I check to see which courses transfer from a community college?
Lower-division (100-200 level) courses may be taken at a community college. Refer to the ASSIST system to find the equivalent and transferrable coursework to CSUF.
