Giles-O'Malley Center for Leadership

The vision of the Giles- O'Malley Center for Leadership is to develop the leadership capacity of students and the Orange County community through education, training, and outreach.

Our mission is to develop leaders by planning and delivering cutting-edge curriculum and leadership development experiences to undergraduate, graduate and executive-level students, alumni, and organizations in Orange County.

Our Goals

  • Plan, develop, and advocate curriculum development to enhance leadership opportunities and offerings for students
  • Conceive, plan, and provide extracurricular experiences and training workshops that meet the needs of students
  • Design, develop and deliver leadership development experiences and training workshops that meet the needs of organizations in Orange County
  • Provide "train the trainer" opportunities for human resource and organizational development professionals in Orange County.

 

Faculty Affiliates

Our faculty affiliates consists of expert faculty with academic training from top universities, actively engaged in cutting edge research, and has extensive industry experiences, consulting for organizations including Fortune 100 companies, family businesses, government agencies, and not-for-profit organizations.



Board of Directors

The Board of Directors provides advice to, and assists the Giles-O'Malley Center for Leadership at College of Business and Economics at California State University, Fullerton in achieving its goal of academic excellence and community recognition. The Board of Directors also assists the Center in its fund raising efforts in support of its educational programs.

 

Board of Advisors 

The Center for Leadership Board of Advisors serves as an influential cabinet to assist the director, Dr. John E. Barbuto, Jr. (Jay), in strategic issues as they relate to advancement of leadership initiatives in the Center. This includes shaping the mission, objectives, and goals for all Center initiatives.

Meeting several times a year, members of the Center for Leadership Board of Advisors support the Center and the College in its pursuit for excellence in developing the region's next generation of business leaders, extending outreach and support for the College, and communicating with the business community to ensure that the Center's initiatives and programs develop the leadership skills and abilities required for success. The companies involved on our Board of Advisors include the best in the Orange County area.
