CSUF Business Alumnus Ranked One of World’s Favorite Bosses by U.S. Bank Employees
“As this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Award, Dr. Barbuto’s passion and dedication represents the finest in educational excellence offered by the College of Business and Economics at Cal State Fullerton, and we salute him!”
CSUF business alumnus Richard K. Davis ’83, U.S. Bank chairman, president and CEO, was recently honored as one of the World’s Favorite Bosses by Glassdoor, an online community that offers an inside look at jobs and companies.
Glassdoor’s CEO rankings are based on reviews voluntarily posted by employees from around the world answering this question: “Do you approve of the way this person is handling the job of leading this company?” U.S. Bank employees gave Davis a 95% approval rating, which placed him ninth on the list.
Davis, who graduated with degrees in business and economics, began his banking career when he was 18, and he is now at the helm of U.S. Bancorp, the nation’s fifth-largest commercial bank. He has served as chairman since 2007, as CEO since 2006 and as president since 2004. He also served as chief operating officer from 2004 to 2006.
According to Glassdoor’s profile of the company, U.S. Bank was also designated as one of the Best Places to Work for Commuters by the National Center for Transit Research at USF and Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality by the Human Rights Campaign.
