With the mission to "Ignite Sales Careers" for all CSUF students, the Sales Leadership Center strives to promote professional selling, the development of sales skills, and provides interaction and networking opportunities with industry sales executives.

Students:

The Sales Leadership Center provides students with a link between the university and business through the development of viable sales training courses, workshops, sales competitions, project based learning, networking, internships, scholarships, career services and social activities.

Hiring Companies:

The Sales Leadership Center facilitates the hiring of sales talent through career fairs, internships, scholarships programs, speaking opportunities, sales training and a connection to the Career Services Center. Student clubs and organizations, including the American Marketing Association, Pi Sigma Epsilon, and the Latino Business Students Association, also create networking opportunities.

Corporations:

The Sales Leadership Center offers sales training courses for working professionals. Programs are offered for sales professionals as well as those wishing to transition into a sales position. Custom programs are developed and taught in Mihaylo College's state of the art facilities.

Mark Mantey serves as Co-Director of The Sales Leadership Center. With a sales career spanning over 34 years, Mark has a full range of sales experience spanning from Account Management to Divisional Vice President of Sales. Prior to joining CSUF, Mark worked at Nestle USA for 28 years. In addition to Nestle, he has also worked for Geo A. Hormel and at the distributor level servicing the food industry. He is excited to join the CSUF Sales Leadership Center which offers the opportunity to share his years of leadership, team work and sales experience with students interested in business and sales careers.

Dr. David A. Locander is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at California State University, Fullerton and serves as Co-Director of The Sales Leadership Center. He received his bachelor’s degree in marketing at Jacksonville University in Florida. Before returning to Jacksonville University for his MBA, David worked in sales as an account representative for an industrial supplies company in Jacksonville. David then pursued a career in academics and earned a doctorate in marketing at Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Locander’s research focus is predominantly in the domain of sales and sales management and has presented his research at national and international conferences such as the Academy of Marketing Science, National Conference in Sales Management, Global Sales Science Institute, and the World Marketing Congress.

Olga's educational background includes an MBA in International Business with Marketing and Management concentration from CSULA and a BA from The American University in Paris in International Affairs. She worked and lived in Paris for over 15 years and has also worked at a private company in Pasadena where she helped develop sales and promotional strategies for major national retailers. She has been teaching for over 18 years.

Olga has experience consulting with small/medium businesses locally to ensure their success and studies the retail market from both the consumer and provider standpoints.

She searches for what the next best thing is all about. She volunteers at her local elementary school by serving on the PTA board, fundraising, creating art and music, and providing support to the library and classroom.
